About Me

Hello. I’m Steph and I became the new owner of Spinning Yarns wool shop in February 2025. I enjoy crochet, cross stitch and crafts in general. For 25 years I have worked in the field of radiation protection, but in 2017 I became ill and in September 2023 I had brain surgery and despite several attempts at a return to work as HM Specialist Inspector of Radiation at the Health and Safety Executive my physical health did not improve sufficiently to enable me to return.

Therefore, I needed a career change that would better fit my health condition and decided to buy Spinning Yarns. The rest is history!
